Welcome to Bill Walton Fine Art

Yankee Stadium August 16, 1951 - Oil

Baseball season is in full swing for 2014; but it is always great to reflect on the great moments in baseball history.  This oil painting depicts rookie Mickey Mantle on August 17, 1951 batting against veteran pitcher Bob Feller.  This is the first game in which Mickey played wearing No. 7 on his uniform.  The title of the painting is "Seven Up".

During the months of June, July and August, sport art by Bill Walton will be on display at the Coutts Memorial Museum located in El Dorado, Kansas.  This exhibit features sport art illustrating "100 Years of Baseball" and covers the years 1900 - 1999.  Be sure to visit the museum if you are in El Dorado during this time.
