This oil painting depicts the first pitch of the October 8, 1956 World Series sixth game between the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium, in which Don Larson pitched a perfect game. This is the only time a perfect game has been pitched in the history of the World Series.
